A day in the life of a TEFL teacher

Today is my Friday (I know it’s only Thursday), but it’s the King’s birthday tomorrow so we have the day off and we’re heading to Khao Yai National Park to do some camping over the bank holiday weekend. This week marks my 11th week of teaching, meaning I’m over the half way mark now which is pretty incredible. Although I’m staying in Thailand to teach next term, I’m moving to a new school and I’m getting more and more emotional about leaving my kids. I am so proud of myself and them; when I first arrived they were noisy, arrogant, disrespectful and just plain rude; now they are a joy and a pleasure to teach (most of them anyway).

I know lots of you have been asking me about what I actually do all day at work, so come and follow me around school all day and join me teaching Thai students English as a foreign language!
